N/A to TII Advice
N/A to TII Advice
I am going to do a swap over and I was going to run a microtech. Well, the mircotech puts me close on the budget. So here are my options.
1. Beg parents for money and get the microtech
2. Use the TII ecu and get a fuel controller. (going 720cc)
3. Use the my stock vert ecu and use a fuel controller.
Since the engine is getting an overhaul I do wish to break it in properly....so microtech or fuel controller. I rather not overhaul the engine and blow it up because I didn't go microtech..I question the liability of the apexi fuel controller with the mazda rx7 so what are your opinions.

as per the other thread..
The microtech is infinatly better than any of the rx-7's stock ECU, cut your losses early, buy the microtech.
But how are we to know how you want to spend your money..

Well no matter what I have to get at least
720cc secondaries
A fuel pump
a boost controller and gauge
A microtech adds 900 plus laptop adapter and I have to buy a cheap laptop and not including misc items such as electrical tape/connections/and soldier and fresh sensors.

And well if you can't afford it, just stay with the inferior stock ECU..
Personally if I was broke, I'd much rather buy a 2nd hand microtech, even one a few years old, before I touched the stock ECU again.

Up to you though I guess?

Must be an american thing... hehe, I picked mine up for about <$100.......
It is only a digi 2 pro fuel+ignition, the imediate predecessor to the MT8's, but it does the job wonderfully.I've seen second hand MT8s going for just a few hunderd $ aswell.. so it's not just a one off thing..
if I have a spare one i'd sell it to you, but.. sadly.. I dont..

And do the new LT8's really cost $900 US? that seems huge, they're just over ~$1000 here in the land down under, and I mean I know your dollar is going down.. down.. down compared to ours
, but that is still a huge markup!!
