N/A throttle body to TurboII UIM to simplify FMIC?

Anyone think this would work? I'm not very familiar with the N/A throttle body, but it seems that it's in a little better position to work with some FMIC's.

I don't think it's the actual TB itself but merely the plastic inlet pipe of the NA TB. I believe it fits the TII and allows for an easier route for IC piping (I don't have an pics but as I recall it's no longer backwards).

Hard to keep that rubber part from leaking, especially at higher boost pressures...

Crap, we need to just have someone make a GOOD aftermarket intake for TurboII's.

I did this 4 years ago and it works great. As far as the air sensor either tap into the IC tube itself with NPT thread or weld a bung for it... I have a stand alone ecu so it wasn't an issue because I had to weld a bung for the GM sensor anyway.
You will need to ditch the oil filler neck to make this work......well, wait! at least on the 89-91's were they have the long angled neck....The 87-88's might be okay, I don't know forsure though...
I run 18-22psi with a T60-1 turbo and its never cracked either.. Yhe constraction is pretty thick on the elbows....Give it a try...
Ohhhhh ya.... The elbow is a 3.5" so you'll have to get a reducer from www.turbohose.com to accomidate the IC tube... I use 2.5" tubing, so I had to but a 3-3.5" reducer and a 3-2.5" reducer then in between the two reducer stuck a 3" O.D. tub to connect them.....My point????? I don't think anyone makes a 3.5-2.5 reducer... anyway call Hoover @ turbohose

I don't understand. Why don't we just create a proposition to AEM to create a similar version of the Checkpoint intake? Or even a nice TID? We NEED a proper intake available that doesnt cost an absurd amount.

Us, and DSM T/E/L's. They have the same exact issue.
