1990 Mazda rx7 convertible

Hi:
I've enjoyed my Mazda rx7 for several years; however I'm now in the market for the new mazda rx8.

Should I be better off selling it for parts or selling it whole. It's a nice car, needs some work, but we just put alot of money in it. It has racing rims and the engine is rebuilt. New exhaust ect...
any comments would help!
Thanks in advance

couldn't afford the stock exhaust: however the whole exhaust system is new and works great. I love the car,
just want a new one now. I've been waiting for the rx8 for over a year!
