N/A to JDM swap done, few problems
well I was trying to decide if i should sell my mustang and get a RX8 and put the FC is on the back burner. however i invested too much money to put it aside. The few problems. the main problem is the car is 1000 miles away. it has a roughish idle and misses (kinda) to about 1500-1700 rpm. leaks coolant. i think from the turbo maybe the rad as well. Removed the turbo to port the wastegate.( haven't it boost cut once even with a RB downpipe and just a Flowmaster 40 muffler). i also did a emissions removal before the motor went in. it is a JDM S4 motor the block is stamped N318. i have a N333 ecu and the JDM ecu sent with it was a N340. i was wondering if the injectors being one impeadance and the ecu another could cause the problem.( i am unsure if the intjectors or high or low). Well a Rtek 2.0 with different 720cc injectors with a good tune fix the idle and the way it runs. it was fast as hell( untill i added a quieter muffler on it after the flowmaster)

Probably a vacuum leak, or at least start with looking for vacuum leaks. Will be hard to do if the car's 1000 miles away (?). All ECU's expect to see 'high impedance' injectors, the cars with low impedance injectors had a resistor pack in the engine bay that connected to the harness. So unless the injectors don't match the harness, I wouldn't worry about it.

bad connectionj at the injectors.Change the Connectors to the Injcetors Or get anothet set that actually Fit WITH the tab,..
That Tab is what holds the Connector Straight ON the Injector connections.

Check the resistance on the injectors first and foremost just to make sure. It's probably a vac leak. Why's the car 1000 miles away?

I went and joined the Navy. I am in Pensacola FL for Aircrew training. the car is at home in Wisconsin. I was out looking at RX8s. then i found out how much a R3 would be with no down payment over $600 a month. i was like the up keep on the FC would be less then that. hell in 3 months I could afford a rebuild and a Street port. when the mustang gets paid off I think i will keep it untill i get the motor rebuild and ported.( used JDM motor with unknown miles).
I been hearing that vaccum leaks on the FC really mess them up. i may have a friend try to fix it back home. however he is lazy. but man i miss that rotary so much. the worst part is i only got to drive it for about 2 weeks. with it leaking coolant and gear lube out of the diff. side seal
by the way where can you get the side seals for the TII diffs?

RX8 prices seem to be falling like a rock as of late, probably will be as cheap as FC's in a few years!

A little bit of everywhere on a TII. Inlet duct is VERY common, intake manifolds, intercooler, vacuum routing (plugging a vac line into the wrong hole is fun to troubleshoot). If it weren't so far south of me I'd come down and lend a hand, well, that and how cold it's been up here lately!

I'm right outside of Wausau, trying to get my damn license back from michigan, god damned DRF. Pretty much verify your hose routing, check your injectors for leaks, the intercooler, and then check the TID.
