Im just checking on this but im sure I can use N/A S5 housing in my S5 TII motor im building am I correct. Im porting the exhaust and intake so I didnt think this was going to affect anything let me know if im wrong please.

 

yes you can

drill a hold for coolant if the na housing is being installed in the rear

if you dont know what im talking about, you shouldnt be building an engine

 

Care to enlighten me a little more on drilling a hole you mean for coolant I have never built a rotary before so i have never had a N/A housing apart before I have tore down my motor already and bought all the things I need. But if you could tell what im missing here im sure I can figure it out.

 

on the rotr housing
look at the two exhaust studs.
above it, there is a smaller stud
right above that is a circle
drill a hole in there

 

Oh I didnt relize that those where not there on the N/A housings I dont have them yet so I havnt got to inspect them fully to see what needs to be done. Am I going to have to do anythign to get the o rings to set into place there?

 

You might also want to make a groove for a o-ring, take a look at your TII housings and you'll see a bevel for there the o-ring goes.

 

you have to find something to grind a groove on it. my bad for forgetting to mention that.

 

thanks guys gonna save me a **** ton of money buy doing this. And alot of hassle it is a pain in the you know what to find some TII housings in good shape.
