Mystery Plates in TII LSD

Hey can someone help me. I am rebuilding an 88 TII clutch type LSD. I put this in a TII/NA swap. The FSM shows that I should have a differenct amount of springs than I have. I have 6 disks( with internal teeth), 4 disks with external teeth and 2 conical springs. THis does not match up AT ALL to the FSM. Is it possible someone modified the rear end and put a differenct number of plates in for more LSD action? I am really stuck!
