my vert is healing the planet...

Got my first emissions test today with the new ride, I'm a little suprised at the results...

on the 25/25 test...
HC ppm - 19/127 allowed
CO % - 0.03/0.71 allowed
NOx ppm - 64/910 allowed

on the 50/15 test:
HC ppm- 18/132 allowed
CO % - 0.18/0.73 allowed
NOx ppm - 60/1006 allowed

does this sound low to anyone else? I've always heard how rotaries have horrible emissions, so I was a bit suprised by the numbers. This is GA emissions with a bone stock 91 vert. post up your numbers...

Those are pretty normal emissions for a fully functioning emissions system FC.

I'm killing the planet. Also, no one likes to tail gate me on the freeway. I like my car.

I hope to heck your OMP is working. Your HC levels should be a little higher.

any car without emissions will test badly, not just rotaries. the thing is that 90% of rotary owners are running with no emissions.

the OMP is working for sure, i just replaced the OMP lines and they're filled with oil again.

I'm not complaining, just thought it was kinda funny how low it was...

Unless you run a very well tuned AWD car into the inspection shop hehe Since there are no AWD dynos for emissions, they just use the tail pipe sniffer. I passed in my old '92 Galant VR4 with no cats and 660cc injectors

I got results better than that one time...but that was because the sniffer was next to the car not in the exhaust.

Its nice to see at least someone still has functioning emissions equipment. As for me...trees turn brown, shrivel up and die as I drive by.

Is that what you bought with the insurance check from the orange crush?

At the frame shop? That thing was hit HARD! Does the shop think it is fixable? If so at least you save the work in the cage and chassis prep.

yeah they're putting on a whole new front clip, they say it will cost about a grand to get it straight again. they're doing it right drilling out all the spot welds, so it should actually be better then it was before...
