my turbo II

ok heres the deal i bought a turbo II a couple of weeks ago and it wouldnt run. so im gonna tell u whats goin on with it to see if anyone has any ideas. ok when i turn the car over it will start but it will rev up very slowly to around 300 and then die,if i start the car with the gas all the way open it will do the same thing but it will go up to 1000 then die. it sounds like its starvin for fuel but after a while of crankin and startin it will flood. if anyone knows what is wrong please tell me i have searchin these forums for two weeks and i havent found a solution yet.

here are a few suggestions

replaced the spark plugs

compression check

check TPS

find vaccum leaks with carb cleaner

check leading and trailing coils to make sure they are functioning

replace the fuel filter

check voltage on fuel pump

it sounds like you arent getting enough spark or dont have very good compression

how long has it been sitting? if more than a year, the gas tank probably needs drained, fuel pump replaced if it isnt corroded too bad

if it revs up really slow, that sounds like running on one rotor. also check that ur PD isnt bad. and check the AFM connection
