Hate to tell you this, but once my trim started peeling off my 88 SE, I had to rip it off totally and get new.
Now, I didn't buy OEM trim, I went to the parts store and bought a roll of 3M trim that looks really close to the OEM stuff, but not exact.
The roll was kinda expensive, but I had to do both doors, and parts of all 4 fenders.
If you go to a body shop, they may be able to help you out for a small fee, like less than $50.
Otherwise, the door moldings from OEM are like $90 or so, at least last I checked.
You can put a screw in it, but that is the wrong way to fix it and will come back to haunt you later by creating rust under the molding.
But, I never managed to sucessfully "glue" or re-adhere the moldings to the door. I had a body shop struggle with it twice, heat gun and glue, taped on for 3 days, it held for like a week and then let loose again.

Im facing a similar issue, as the trim on one door is completly gone. And i plan on having my car painted soon so i was gonna remove it all anyways. Not sure what i want to do after that. Replace it, or how i would etc etc.

3M sells an adhesive used by the factory to hold on body panels/trim. I don't know how much it is, butmost good shops use it for bady kits. Maybe you should try that. Or take it all off and get the body filled/shaved. I saw a picture (someone's car on here, can't remember whos) and it looks mad wicked
