my T2 wont start again

i have a 87 t2 that would not start when i first got it. it had no piping for the front mount and no fule pump. i put the piping on and sprayed cab cleaner in it and it started up and then it died after i stoped. so then i put in a fule pump a week later and it would not start . i tryed again a week later and it started up with no problem i was reving it for about a min. when i stoped reving it it died with in a few sec. i tried to start it up right after but it would not. today another week later and nothing it sounds like it want to for a split sec but nothing. any tips for me to try out i need help

What front mount are you talking about putting piping on?

Start with simple things. Have someone turn the key while you're at the back of the car. Listen as close as you can get to the fuel pump. Is it running?
