Clutch wear ..when should I replace...

Hi
I got in my 7 this morning and on the way to work I noticed my clutch felt like it was dis-engaging late , at a farther distance from the floor .. I was wondering if maybe its getting worn and when is a good time to replace it , or maybe it just needs to be adjusted.... also this might be related .. is it normal to have to rev the car a bit while uncluthing in reverse around 2000+ rpm? less than that and it stutters.. its my daily driver and I'm on a tight budget so this is kinda a pain to have it happen now..lol but if ifs really worn I would like to do it b efore it does any major damage

any help would save my ***
