Question My steering is a bit F*** up

Ever since i bought my car the steering system has been a bit off. Basically when i go straight my steering wheel is actually turned to the right a bit. The dude that removed it just hacked it off basically and there are still ps lines all over the place. Also my buddy has no ps and his car is MUCH easier to steer than mine. He does have custom suspension though. Anyways I was wondering how i would go about fixing this problem, i really dont know anything about the steering system on my car. Thanks

Well you can just unblt the steering whell and move it a couple of splines over which ever way it need to go. And your buddy's car was probably manual steering from the factory so his will be just a bit easyier to steer since you take about a 1/4 to a 1/2 less of a turn from lock to lock. And just rip the old power steering lines that he left in your engine bay out they are just dead wheight now, and there isn't much holding them in there, it might take a little persuading to get some of the metal ones out though.

Cool thanks dude. I was looking at the manual and it looks like the ps only uses one line that goes out to the front of the car. I believe its the ps cooler line prob. I thought there was a lot more to it. Ill check the manual on removeing the steering wheel. Thanks again

That PS cooling line is a pain to get out of there, I had to cut mine in to like 3 pieces before I could get it out. And to get the steering wheel of I believe there is just one big nut behind the cover in the center of the wheel, and you should be able to just take it off and pull the wheel off. Then straighten the front tires up and put it were yu want. Heck you could confuse people and turn it upside down, that would be kinda funny.

Actually the steering wheel should remain in "centered" position. Adjustments to the wheel should be made by turning both tie rod ends in the same direction. This will change the wheel position.
