Sonic, I read your pm, I am just curiouse as to how Brad did his swap. I am serious about this project, I just need to get the parts together. Thanks again for your offer to help, I'll gladly make arrangements for your transportaion when the time comes and providing you're still in the area. It would be great having your input during the swap.

I'll be here until May 15th or so, then I'll be gone for an undisclosed ammount of time as I don't know myself yet! Let me know if you need help figuring out what you need/etc. If you happen to buy the set from hypntyz7, then there's only going to be a few things left you'll need to pick up.

He's basically got everything that you're going to need. You're going to want an aftermarket boost gauge (as he doesn't include a gauge) You may also want to do a different exhaust setup, but you can use what he's selling with it. You may/probably will need some gear oil for the tranny and the rear-end. That's commonly overlooked. While you're at it you may want to replace spark plugs/etc. I think that's about all you need to have it running and drivable. If you get his blue TII hood you're going to have to get it repaired/painted. You can close the hood on an NA with the top mount intercooler, but it bends the hood and the intercooler, so I don't suggest doing that, unless you go with some sort of front mount then you don't have to worry.

No problem. The reason why I keep pushing Hypntyz7 is because I've done buisness with him so many times and he's never once let me down. On that note, a year ago I started my conversion, I was all excited and impatient so I ordered all the parts and waited for them to get in. Well, I got screwed on my engine to say the least. All the side seals were stuck, and the oil seals were ruined. So that cost me about $2000 alone because of all of the problems with the engine (such as the guy sending me a series 5 block with series 4 intakes/turbo/front cover/etc) that all needed to be replaced. I kind of want to push hypntyz7 because I know if there was a serious problem he'd do everything he could to make it better, which is unbelievably useful at times. My car still isn't running good all the way back from that bad engine, at the moment my turbo's pushing oil and my oil metering pump is broke. So, just trying to make sure nothing bad happens! Anyway, if you have any other questions/etc, you can PM me for my phone # and you can give me a call anytime.

Thanks again.

I did it on jackstands. The rear subframe is EASY, but only IF you have 3 floor jacks. (got friends that have them?) 1 under the "pumpkin," and one under each front subframe section near the mount. That allows you to control it and raise/lower it evenly.

I think I used two jackstands... What a mistake that was! Took the last bolt for the diff off and I got to feel just how heavy they were

It didn't fall on me or anything, I was expecting it to come off... Didn't quite plan on it being THAT heavy though, what a bitch! Anywho, figure out what you're going to do? I think I'm more anxious over this than my own car!

I'm definately going for the TII Swap from hypntyz7, I just need to get some more money. I can't wait, what a nice ride that will be with the top down and those extra ponies will be a blast. Damn, I really can't wait now.

Haha, I know what you mean. My friend has a '88 vert that he wants to do the same thing to, I've been trying to talk him into it for ages! Hope you can get the setup from hypntyz7, then it's just plug and go!
