I get headlight switches at wrecking yards for 10-15 a piece, new Mazda switches are $245.
My cars idle at ~650-850 rpm

If you need a switch, talk to IceMark, he rebuilds them.

I've got a lightweight flywheel, so it idles alittle lower than usual.

I have rebuilt headlight switches available on my webstore starting at $50 and going to $85. http://www.mazdamark.com/switches.htm

Half the junk yard headlight switches are garbage, but if you are replacing a burnt out switch, you need to replace the light switch harness as well. Remember the headlight switch harness is specific per series and do not use a new/rebuilt/un damaged headlight switch with a head light switch harness that is the least bit burnt, or discolored.

shipping is dependent on weight, distance, and value.

I would expect around $6-$8 including insurance and everything, but go to my webstore... it will figure it out exactly for you.

I believe the official idle for the FC is 750 +/- 25.
That said, mine idled from about 600 to 1200, due to a hidden vac leak.
