Wondering what mods should I make to the t2 engine I bought? I am going to rebuild it.. should I port it? How much can I take off? What modifications should I make to it?
Thanks all.. now I have to run.. I am going to be late to school..

all depends on what you're doing with the car and what your goals are powerwise...............and of course the ever present theme of your budget.
Some nice mods for a streetable 7 would be:
mild streetport
intake (TID mod)
exhaust
ported wastgate (because of the exhaust)
remove A/C
upgraded rad never hurts no matter what performance level you are at.
they will get you started anyways

just one more question: you mentioned streetport.. does that include the exhaust ports?
I bought a s5 t2 with tranny ecu wiring harness and turbo. There going into my '85 gs. I want to start off at around 200 and move up. I want to be able to have a weekend warrior posting low 12's I also want to keep my car looking and sounding as stock as possible.

!no bumps!
yes I would port the exhaust mildly as well, only for a smidge earlier opening though so's not to increase overlap.
and starting at 200hp should be a sinch........thats what the Jspec is rated at for brake horsepower from the factory
