my rebuild.

hi all and thank you, if it weren't for you guys i wouldn't have accomplished the rebuild to begin with. well i have and s4 na that i just rebuilt 1452 miles ago. at first it would not hold and idle below 1500 but as time and miles passed, i started to tune the idle down via the cable. now it will idle awesome at 1000 rpm when fully warmed up though. if it isnt warmed up, it will just die. i have no emissions and no vacuum leaks. i did strip the intake manifold down to just the bare necessities, fuel pressure regulator, break booster, and the adjusting screw to make it run rich or lean on idle on the passenger side fender area (i forgot whats it called but it had wax in it) . well after like 10 mins of driving, it will idle great, its just in the morning, i have to left foot break while holding the throttle down to prevent it from dying. thank you

No BAC valve? That, and the fact that your motor is still in the break in stage would be why you have to keep it running when it's cold.

Without a BAC, and after the motor is fully broken in, you will have to keep the motor running for the first few minutes whenever it is cold. Just a forewarning, if it's a daily driver I wouldn't recommend it.

on my 240, it has an iacv, idle air control valve, what it does is let air in when it is cold, it does this with an actuator, a coolant line, and a power source. so when the coolant is still cold, it will be open. it is similar to the rx7s bac.
