my rad just blew :(
while it didn't crack and blow up like the other guys. but the seal at the top tank is gone and it leaks like 1/2 quart just driving around localy now.
what are my options? I really want a Fluidyne and was going to buy one next spring but I don't have $500 to spend right now. where is the cheapest place to buy them?
if I can't find one cheap enough I guess I'll just get mine fixed.

is there a difference between 89-91 turbo and non turbo stock rads?? I know the 86-88 ones are different because they have the caps on the water pump neck.

I personally don't like the brass ones even though I did have one in my car for about a year and a half after my top tank cracked.I don't think they cool as well. After I got my after market temp. gayge and electric fan I played musical radiators between the brass one and a couple used stock ones until I found a used one that didn't leak.Mainly after hard driving the temp. on the brass one was a tad higher and it didn't seem to recover as fast as the stack alum. one.I'm not completely happy with the stock one but it will do until I can afford the fluidyne or some other one.Mazdatrix has the stock 89-92m/t one for 306.98I believe.

Just called up mazdatrix the m/t is all brass painted black and a direct replacement for the stock, price is $233 for 89/90.. mvp motor has the fluidyne for $500 also, i think they are located in texas so no tax..but they wont have any till next wed. rx-7.com has some in stock. $549 but they will not match there price.. no tax there.. I think Im going to wait till next week, and order a fluidyne.. $500 no tax its about the best deal for this rad. right now..
