i was working on my car yesterday and notice a few things. i have a 90 gxl.
1) under the passenger side SIDE SKIRT (in between the door under the car near the edge), theres a socket for a screw/bolt. whats it for? if you need pictures ill get them.
2) there is a fluid container in the corner of the driver side firewall (when looking towards the car from the front, its in the top right), whats it for? im thinking its clutch fluid but i thought that was only for automatic?

side skirt no clue what you are talking about.
Ther is no external container for fluid on any automatic transmisson I have ever seen. I assume this item you are in refference to is whitish and sitting atop an aluminum or steel cylinder? Yes it is your clutch fluid reservoir for your hydraulic clutch.

2) If you have a small container on the driver's side firewall it's probably your clutch master cylinder OR your brake master cylinder. Both have containers to hold hydraulic fluid.

ive been searching for a FSM forever. yeah i know about the PDF's but i want the book. anyone got one for sale? I ALREADY GOT THE HAYNES, but i need something more thurough and descriptive.
are any of these manuals any good? it dosent matter what model it is, i just want it to be detailed so i can learn more about how they work.

Get a haynes ASAP. I have one of those Mazda bibles (as I like to call them), they're pretty useful if you do electrical work and that sort of technical stuff. Also, I have a chilton guide that covers a few years of mazda cars including the s4 and s3. That one's alright, but lacks because it doesn't have enough diagrams, but at least that one keeps everything short and simple.
can a bad ground to the ecu affect the stock alarm stystem? my security system is trippin out. i think it might be my alternator becasue my radio work for ten minutes then shuts off when i put load on the car.

He already said he has a haynes manual (in my opinion they are junk).
A bad or corroded ground wire may intermittently loose contact causing some devises to turn off or it may have enough contact to handle light loads but not be able to handle a heavy electrical load, symptoms of this would be idle changing when you hit the brakes, turn on the lights, or radio, head lights dimming when another electrical devise turns on, hard start, no start, rough idle, no electrical power at all, stuff randomly turning off, sluggish throttle response, etc... etc....

was cleaning up the engine bay and disconnected a connected and now i dont know which way its suppose to go in.
the wire are organe and green and have a none clip (meaning it can connect both ways) 2 pin female connecter and is clear in color. its located on the driver side intake manifold. right under the thing that holds the throttle cable and what seem to be a ground wire. its plugs into a orange 2 pin plug (no sheild, just two pins) comming out of the corner of the manifold. thanks
is the organe suppose to the on the right or the left? thanks

from the driver side fender looking at the engine torwards the passenger side, its right under the throttle cable and manifold.... ehhh this is the best i can do with an old picture.
its right under that chingadero in the left lower corner if the picture. theres a plug under there that coumes out and an angle
