is my omp working?

ive driven my car 750 miles since i got it (3 whole gas tanks about), and it still has a completely full oil tank. how can i see if the omp is working? or is it normal for it to burn oil this slow?

86 base, drove at pretty high rpm's for about a week when i first got it (what can i say, its fun) and that was the first tank of gas. the second tank was all highway at about 3-4k rpm's (85 90) from columbus ohio to kettering ohio and back, and the third tank was some pretty hard driving with my friend and his 300zx for the first half of the tank, the second half of the tank was daily driving, not really going about 3000. it seems like the oil is filled too much though (from the previous owner). it looks like its above the F, but i dont remember what it was at last time i checked it (d'oh!)
