is my motor dead?

well i just got a turbo II and this is my first one. although the motor sounds allright it will run for about 5 minutes then when i pull up to a stop it will die out. the rpms drop and everything. does anyone know how to help this problem or is the motor RIP.

never give up on a rotary! i revived mine at 200K miles now it runs strong and it just rolled past 202K tonite!

cool ill look into that. the motor sounds good still so i dont think that it is bad. the only other problem is the turbo isnt boosting great. so i mean i my aswell just get a new turbo and engine all at once.

No you shouldn't, a used turbo in good shape thats the same size as stock should be less then $300 (so Ive read), but a new engine is $1000-2000.

yea but how much for them to swap in the turbo as well. i can get the whole upgraded greddy turbo kit for 900 so i my aswell just rebuild the motor. i know the motor wont hold up with out a rebuild

If your going for an upgraded turbo then yeah I guess rebuild the motor (if it will need a rebuild any time soon), as the added stress of the new turbo might "push it over the edge" . I thought you were gonna go with another stock turbo. Good luck!

thanks the motor seems fine for right now and i can deal with the turbo but i need to find out why it is dieing. maybe the fuel filter i have to check that
