sounds like bushing or gone in the back but not sure which ones absorb the power when coming off the clutch. Help. Diff mounts??

Yeah man, definately the rear diff mounts. Got the same deal on mine, just not as bad yet. I've heard of welding on some steel reinforcements opposed to replacing them....but like I said I'm not there yet.

apparently when tuffy muffler had my car up in the air and the service guy grabbed the universal joint and moved it about 2 inches causing a very prominent clunking noise i was seeing things..possibly acid flashbacks..it seems to me both problems would have similar symptoms..do you have major vibration when going around 60 mph?? im not saying im right and everyone else is wrong just offering up suggestion

Yep i have broken 2 mazda stock ones and got a mazdatrix one without the counter weight and its way stiffer and stronger..It's just the rubber is weak and frail..also rx7's arent really made to be peeled out..more for road racing..so u draggers it could break many times =) i have broken 2 1\2 lol =)
