My Model, Base or Luxury?

My Model, Base or Luxury?
OK I've read all the stuff about which models had which. My car (an 87) seems to be a mix between a base and lux. It does not have the electric mirros like a lux. but it does have the sliding sunroof which was not an option for the base.
I don't know what the diversity anntenea is, could someone fill me in? Don't know if i have the tinted windshield sunshade either?
Another thought is that its not really an 87, but then I look and it can't be an 88 because the SE has a spoiler and I think they say "SE" on the side. The 86 options are basically the same differences to the 87 so whats up? Someone fill me in. Icemark, that means you. lol

You probably have a "Sport Model".
It had the GXL 5 lug "Bologna Slicer" wheels, but the cloth interior with wind up windows and no power mirrors.
It also had rubber "Aero" pieces as well. Small bits in front of each wheel, and then a wing mounted to the back of the car - not the shelf where the TII wings bolted to.

what is the production date of the car and the 10th digit of the VIN???
86=G
87=H
88=J
And only the Turbo and GTU came with a factory installed rear spoiler in 88, not the SE.
Sounds like a 88 SE to me.

Whats really weird, when i bought it, it was listed as an 87. I going to take a look at the title because i swear it says an 87.
Also, doesn't the se say "SE" on the side like "GXL" or "GTU?"

Probably the doors were changed and it was a luxury coupe then.
But you still didn't post the production date, remember some 88 models were built in 6-87 and later.

Weren't the VIN year codes based on the model year rather than the build date? For example, I thought that the "1988" models built in 87 still carried the "J" VIN code.

Do you have Carfax? That'll tell you real quickly.

The SE was only available in 88 in the US, and came with the SE sticker.
And carfax won't tell you a thing about what model.
Please don't post made up info like that.

meh, I tried... Sorry. I thought carfax would help, sorry. And I never see SE stickers on RX-7's, so I thought that was right, too. I didn't purposely post wrong info. damn...
