Sheet! , What happend to the metal that is supposed to be there. Is that long term corrosion or did those chunks just break off.

Im thinking it just cracked and one day gave way. upclose its a very clean break, when i first saw that i actualy questioned if it was broken or the side housing was machined that way. Strangly the break on the front and rear housing are on the same axis, maby it got real hot on the bottem? or maby it didnt flow enough. The breaks are between the compression side and exhaust port, almost on the bottem of the motor. wouldnt mind knowing why it happend
