My hesitation problem....
I have, what i think is the infamous 3800 hes. problem, but now only occurs when the gas pedal is 3/4 way down to floored. If i ease up through 3800 it will go to redline in each gear perfectly. If i go through it WOT, then it will hesitate permantly all the way from 3800 to redline, huge loss in acceleration and power.
I've tried the many grounding fixes, with no improvement. I tried the Boost sensor ground, which only made it worse!! with the brown wire grounded, i would have no acceleration after 3800 rpm , WOT or not.
Does anybody have any other suggestions, other than taking it in to the shop? (low on $$$). I also noticed that if i disconnect the battery reseting the computers, it improves performace a little for a short period, then goes back to normal.
Mods are new exhaust , and cone intake. I've changed the spark plugs very recently.
Thank you very much!

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
You hae a problem with your secondary injectors. I had an 86 base once, Id just bought cheap, that did what yours does. IF you eased it over 4k, it would redline slowly, but WOT at *any* time resulted in hesitation, missing, adn refusal to go over about 5k.
Turned out the wiring harness clips were broken for the secondaries, adn they were on but noth making good contact. I sprayed some wd40 in them and wiggled them, adn the nearby harness around, and it worked fine afterwards. Try this. Maybe even jiggle the entire harness that leads to the engine around some.
