is my hatch damaged?
hey guys. My car, which is sitting in storage in Japan, was damaged during transport, and we suspect that the (********) jap driver backed it into a truck. Could someone possibly have a look at my pics and compare to their own cars, just to see if the actual panel has been pushed back and seperated from the glass of the hatch? You should probably see what im talking about by looking at the photo

Kinda hard to tell from the pics, but the hatch looks fine. Looks as if someone removed the spoiler and just welded up the holes though. Sorry to hear about the damage...that sucks. Hope they are giving you some kind of reimbursment, or at least having their insurance take care of it...

THe hatch looks fins to me.. take it to a dent specialist and have it pulled out....
the good thing is that the hatch seals to the gasket and the water drains out the drain holes between the gaskett and the body sides... as long as your hatch is sealing against the gaskett, the rest is cosmetic.
I'd put my foot up that guys *** though

That's forklift damage my friend.
You can see that there are two even rectangular dents - one on each side.
I wouldn't be surprised if it was caused by some retard pushing your car with the lift, that or general carelessness.
Either way, it is very obviously the result of their neglegance. Get it fixed properly - and get them to pay.

i thought forklift as well at first, but there isnt meant to be any forklifts used in this part of importing, but i suppose who knows what the f*ck some people do. Unfortunatly i wont be getting any money out of anyone, because the transport company over there refuses to take responsibility. Its a shithouse situation but what can u do!
