well with an intercooler that big there arent many aftermarket bumpers that will fit without modifications..(cutting etc). i have a tbo front and im going to have to cut. i wish there was a way to make the itnercooler sit farther in without cutting the frame..**** sucks

bukwild where do you work? ill be back in md around september of next year.

Hes going to sell the complete kit on the boards, probably going to make a custom setup. Taking out your bumper support is also illegal for any racing... I know you want to track the car when spring rolls around.

That ic blocks the air for your radiator in a big way. I also had to trim major sections of the stock bumper to get it to fit. It does fit...barely.

Since that pic was taken, I have cut out an additional slot above the original opening along the 'trim' area. I had to reinforce it with some cf to make it rigid or it would flop around with the slightest wind. Looks real nice as it follows the lines of the original opening.

I also cut out the remaining lower part of the bumper and attached a demonspeed lower lip along with some alum panels to seal off the fresh air and force it through the radiator. I also rivetted a 1/4" alum plate to the bottom of the ic as an additional splitter to split the fresh air below for the rad and above for the ic. It looks better than a perfect set of ******* and works great.

I also just put on a Pan Speed Type II reverse cowl hood to evacuate the heated air after it passes throught the ic and radiator. I popped my engine on the last road course (Sears Point) I was on due to heat soaking everything before I had this hood. It doesn't matter how thick your ic or radiator is if the air has nowhere to go. We'll see how it does in 3 weeks at Laguna Seca.
BTW, with the TII hood and a fmic, you are essentially 'pressurising' the engine compartment preventing optimal airflow through the ic and radiator. An NA hood would be better than the TII hood.

I'll post some new pics tommorrow.

man I'm kinda glad I don't have this ic, it looks like a bitch to install! Nice once it's installed I'm sure but man my fab skills are no where near that good to install that thing on my own.

Hmm those top brackets are going to get in the way of the front bumper mounting properly.
Are you running an aftermarket front bumper or something?

yes after market bumper, and the standard bumper still fits on, just had to do abit of grinding to make it so the top brackets didnt stop it from bolting down. anything is possible with abit of work and creativity
