My front mount's too big!!!
I just bought a TII with the GReddy 32R 3 core intercooler on it. It looks nice but after seeing how thick it is I think it's way too big for any size turbo I'd buy for the car. I know there are a lot of other kits out there, does anyone know of one that'll let me keep my foglights but still support 350hp?

the old school trust is good to at least 350rwhp. I'd go with that maybe. You can usually find them for a damn good price.

Thanks hondahater, I see that setup lets you keep the battery up front as well. Right now mine's mounted in the trunk but I want to put it back in the engine bay.
I think I'll advertise it and see if someone with a smaller setup would like to trade .

I R SAD PANDA W/O BAW
Why dont you find the measurements of a core that will fit and keep all the piping. Just hav endtanks in the same place. You may even end up making some money selling your current core.

That pretty much says that you should have everything custom made to fit your preferences. Sell that IC kit and I bet you'll have enough money to make your own and probably a little extra.

do yourself a favor and keep the kit you have. I have the same kit and yes it is big but you can boost around all day and get out of the car and place you hand on the intercooler and it will be cool to the touch. If you want to give it more air just cut the body molding part away from the front. I have noticed since I did this the cooling temp of intercooler and my highway running temps have went down. Also throw the trust intercooler old school intercooler in the trash or sell it to some dreamer because the design and quaility of the greddy is light years ahead of the trust. Also the greddy uses aluminum and the trust is steel. Their goes that "cool to the touch" thing I was talking about.

I"ve run it with 13 to 15lbs of boost and it was always cool to the touch, I don't know what your talking about It's up to you man but if you want to keep the stock battery location and some other features the greddy may not be what you are looking for however if you don't mind the big intercooler than keep it.

what are you talking about I have the battery in the stock location. You don't have to relocate the stock battery with this kit. Most do because it cleans up the engine bay and shows off your polished pipes

Mine's in a 'vert, the only reason I want to put the battery back up front is for luggage space, the trunk is tiny enough already without a battery bolted in there, lol.
I drove from TX to MN with this car, and between the intercooler, oil cooler, a/c condensor, 12" pusher fan, Koyo, and bad stock fan clutch there was no air getting through at all, you couldn't even touch the cold side piping after driving on the highway it was getting so hot.
I think a 2 core unit would have been a better choice, it probably uses much of the same piping. I must admit one of the reasons for buying the car was this was already installed and the pipes look awesome.
If I could mount it like in the white vert pictured on page one instead of the way it's mounted on my car I would probably be OK with it, but wonder if enough of it's exposed to do any good. I plan on running the stock turbo at about 12psi until it goes, then putting something larger on it.

i have the same intercoolr....greddy 3 core.
im having trouble mounting it .....i dont really want the intercooler popping out of the bumper like it is... has anyone cut the frame (reinforcement brackets) to make it fit farther back? id rather not cut any framework out but the ******* ugly sittiny soo far out.

and greddy and trust are the same company
