My First FC
I just recently bought my first 88 FC the other day, I'm going to be doing a 20b swap as well as rebuilding pretty much everything other than the frame. THe first thing I did when i purchased the car was have it towed to my garage, where the fun begins. I stripped down the entire car, removed all the interior panels, and carpets, the plasticy fiberglass or w.e panels over top of the cargo compartments, removed the dash, and the seats, and started clearing out under the hood for the swap. I will post some pictures of the progress, as time goes on. When I bought the car it had an AT in it. But the owner threw in a manual trnasmission so I will be changing that as well. Just had a couple questions as Im getting started on the project. Im trying to keep the car looking as close to stock as possible on the outside, and doing the interior with leather, and recarro seats.
Does anyone know the best place to find interior parts, I will be installing myself, just need all the panels, everything, from dash, to speaker covers, and everything in between.
Sorry for the long post. Can't wait to finish my ride, I love spending long hours in the garage. Hopefully in a few months it will be

If you need a complete interior start searching the classifieds or buy another car with a complete interior.
As far as your build goes, best of luck to ya - although I don't want to discourage, it wouldn't be this first time a gung ho fella stripped one of these cars down for a 20b swap and then eventually scrapped it.
I would say to mod your car first, get used to the idea of dropping thousands in it for a few more ponies and then work your way up
but either way best of luck - can't wait to see it when its done

You can look around junk yards for interior parts, but good luck as they are usually pretty picked over. Mazda dealerships are crazy expensive. Other than that, I dunno. Good luck on the swap. Just remember, don't go cheap on anything, you'll just end up spending more money when stuff breaks.

Yeah, I don't plan to do things the cheapey deepy way haha. I don't mind having to wait a little longer to do things right, and higher quality. That way theres not as many redo's.
