The last time my car didn't start, but was cranking..
I checked for sparks & fuel.
Then the main fuse, and there was a ground wire close to the fuel filter that fell
off "just because the previous owner or whoever didnt put the ring terminal in the bolt, just wedged it, and I went onto some rough roads.

I don't know about putting too much of that ATF or oil in the combustion..
I think that's for like ''stuck seals or flooding?" I'd rather cut the fuel if it's flooded and some dry spark plugs-- probably all soaked in oil or whatever you put in there...

Have you checked for spark? Fuel? Any of the basics?

If the engine has spark, fuel and compression it will run. One of those is missing.

Check the FC FAQ for 'flooding'. There's a procedure linked to in there on how to put ATF in the spark plug holes to create compression. I've had to do it twice.

GoodLuck!

The plugs might work but if the coils are providing no power then they won't fire.

If you're going to do the ATF in the combustion I'd recommend using mopar combustion chamber cleaner.

Pull a spark plug from the engine. Connect it to the plug cable and then place it on the upper intake manifold so that the metal of the plug is toughing the metal of the intake. Get in an crank the car. Does the plug spark?

After that, head down to a local library and pick up a copy of "Auto Repair For Dummies".

press the gas all the way to the floor........ this will somehow disengage fuel to be "dumped" to the engine...

try turning it over for 30 seconds....

then try to start it again.. see if it starts now.. chances are you car is flooded.
