Exclamation my FC starts and stays started in a weird way

I searched and couldnt seem to find something that was similar to my problem. Ok so first off I have a 87 rx7 that for some reason i can start it by squeezing the the gas line by the injectors then it will start and sometimes it would idles. I was able to get it going on the highway, and it has no throttle response.

I was just wondering if anyone knew the problem or what could be potential problems and how would i go about fixing it.

Alright ill check those out tonight. Any other ideas? I got someone that told me to check the injectors and the throttle cable to see if its tight. But no one seems to know about the squeezing of the fuel lines

You're going to have to give us a much better description of the problem if there is some hope of helping you.

I wonder which line you closed... the delivery, or the return? And where?

It may be that the car is flooding, and taking off the fuel pressure allows it to unflood and start.

Since you have identified the fuel delivery as having some effect, I would start by measuring the fuel pressures in the static and operating modes, per the FSM. Harbor Freight has a fuel pressure test kit that should work for I think $16. Check the operating fuel pressure with and without the vac hose connected to the fuel pressure regulator, per the FSM.

If the fuel pressures are too high, check for a clogged return line or faulty regulator.

If those pressures are within range, I would start looking at things like clogged or failred injectors, and compression.
