My fc got hit(hit and run)
Well yesterday i decided to drive my fc to work.On my way there people all over the place looking at the car cause of the bridgeported motor sound, open wastegate, loud blow off valve sound ect.ect so i was all happy.Get to work park my car on my own parking spot and open up the store. At 1:00PM i walk out for lunch and when i look at my car i almost pass out.The rear left quarter panel is all fu$%^& up so i started asking people if they saw something but nobody did, called the cops and the officer that came to do the report was a total *** and he even said to me that this better wont be a scam or i will get in trouble. What the **** is that?Call Progressive and they cant come until saturday to look at the car.On top of that my car was getting a new bumper on today cause the same thing happened a couple of months ago(another hit and run)and now this, just my dam luck.Well here is a couple of pictures of the damage.

Sucks. I had a similar experience about 4 years ago where some genius backed a lifted F350 into the rear corner. Fortunately someone saw it happen, and made them stay put until they could figure out who's car it was. The driver had no insurance of course (half of Southern CA doesn't), but my uninsured motorist coverage payed to paint half the car/fix the dent. I payed to have the rest painted to keep it from looking horrible.
I have no idea how it works with hit and runs, but hopefully there's a way to get around paying your deductible and having your rates go up.

My one friend that painted this car twice on the past four years quoted me 500 dollars including materials. We are removing the gas cap and taking it to the paint place to get a exact match.I still have to wait until saturday for the insurance company. He wanted to start yesterday but i cant do anything waiting on progressive.
Thanks guys!

my car was hit in the same spot on the passenger side, little less damage but the same spot. at first i didnt know who it was and i filed a claim and then found out it was the neighbor across the street.
i have liability on my car and since i was not in the car at the time, and the other person had NO INSURANCE i was able to file a claim under the "uninsured motorist claim" section.
my insurance company is liberty mutual.

I got hit on my driver side door looks like someone either punched it or hit it with another door(no paint markings from other car). The day it happened I decided not to take up two parking spots in the garage at my work....I got off and I noticed it from far distance. Sucks.

Progressive sucks.
I had them for 4 years. I swapped to State Farm and my monthly bill is almost 25% less than what I paid progressive for liability insurance ($1000.00 deductible), and I now have full coverage with a $500.00 deductible.
I hope it works out for you. I would recommend shopping around for a different insurance company. Paying for the commercials is expensive, and is passed down to the consumers.
I agree that most people SUCK!
