my compression # sucks!!....

WTF??!!..me and my friend did a compression check in my newly built engine. New housings and streetported. It has approximately 50 miles on the engine. It smokes a little due to the PREMIX but no smoke from water or oil consumption.

Well we did a compression test using a compression test gauge.

FRONT= 90psi X3
REAR= 90 X3

I was expecting more since i have a new engine with new internals except rotors and eshaft and gears.

I read somewhere that this is normal with new engines.
And they will gradually start building more pressure once they are broken in. Is this true???..

ALSO im only getting around 350 sometimes 300mmhg of vaccum. What heck!!..am i suppose to be worried??..

don't even bother testing it till you get over 3000 miles...

maybe longer since you got brand new housing. I bet your peak #'s will come around 10k

What you heard was correct. The compression will get better as the engine is broken in.

The more you port an engine, the less vacuum it will pull also.
