i followed what was on fc3s.org

water rarely gets under the hood because there is a seal on the front edge of the hood

Is there any fresh-air inlets going into your box? If there isn't, then you should think about making some

I know of the following ways to get some fresh air in there:
- buy a fresh air headlight cover duct (sold at RX7.com)
- Cut a hole in the side of the box for the stock air box ducting to blow into
- remove the flash-to-pass lens on the passenger side completely or make a billet grille over the lenses frame
- make a hole in the bottom of the cold-air box and custom fab some piping underneath the fender

I have done the grille mod to the flash-to-pass lens and I think it works good. I though it looked real cool, so I actually did it to my driver side also

hope that helps

i think people put too much effort into this mod.. I mean its fun to try to get cold air in or whatever but i doubt its going to make a noticeable (sp?) difference, I mean.. I did the box mod, and it took all of an hour.. But chances are, im NOT going to try to plumb cold air into it while my car is still an NA.. (process of turbo addon)

you might be right, but even if there is any benefit at all, there are going to be people that want to do it.

sorry MRX_Rotary, but my camera just busted on me, so I can't post any pics. (Don't ever buy a samsung digi camera, they are the worst)

Not to be sarcastic, but just imagine a grille instead of a plastic covering over the lens. It looks good, as long as you get some nice quality grill. Don't buy that chicken wire stuff, it looks terrible. Go for stuff called "gutter guard", it looks much nicer

I've got the same set up with a grille instead of the FTP on the passenger side. Its cool because it makes people think that I actually was able to make the talked about ram air setup to work. I can post a picture tomarrow.
