Angry My car shat itself last night.

So I was driving down the road and all of the sudden the low oil buzzer comes on. Shut the car off, get out in the dark and pouring rain and check the oil. Does not show up on the dipstick. Call one of my friends and I go get some oil. Put in 3.5 quarts and it shows up on the dipstick again. Start the car up, no more buzzer. Car sounds like **** like metal grinding. Drove it like 100 feet down to the nearest parking lot and shut it off. No more oil on the dipstick. Did it eat an oil seal? I have not had a chance to look at the car in the daylight when it was not raining. What could be wrong with the car? I am so pissed cause it was a remanufactured engine that was only like 15 months old which should have had by my reckoning less than 40,000 miles on it. At least according to what the old owner told me when I bought it last may. I wasn't even getting on it, just driving down the road. Any help would be much appreciated.

You probably busted an oil cooler line. Did you notice gross amounts of oil on the ground? (if you could)

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT DRIVING YOUR CAR YET!!! (but you probably already knew that)

My guess is the oil cooler line. Mazdatrix and a few other places sell braided SS lines - those are the ones to get

Oil Cooler lines aren't much fun. I blew one out on my GXL last year and it coated the driver's side of my car with a nasty grease. The hole was tiny as hell, but it managed to lube up my whole underbody and engine. I only drove the sucker for about 100 miles with a slightly leaking oil line, but when that ****'s under 60 PSI it'll come out pretty damn quick.

Anyways...sorry for the rambling. Get new lines on there and pray for the best!
