my car sat for a while: couple of questions

I have been slowly rebuilding my motor for a little over 4 months now. It is now ready to go in and I want to make sure the car ready. For one, will the gas still be alright to run after 4 months? Second, my brakes are pretty much locked up because it is really hard to push my car right now. Is there some kind of brake booster that will bring the brakes back to normal once the engine is in and running?

Should have dumped some gas stabilizer in it.
The brakes are because theres no power assist, so they are really stiff, right?

yeah they are. I've never heard of gas stabalizer. So is the gas bad then?

The gas should be fine. Try starting it, if it won't start, throw some fresh gas in it.

The calipers on the brakes might have seized. When you get it running, try stomping the pedal. Hopefully that will free them up.

I would drain the gas and blow the system. The best brand of stabalizer is Stabil, all parts places sell it. As far as the brakes go I would flush them with new fluid and then try them with power assist. You can't tell anything about the brakes until your up and running.
