I reciently installed a Koyo Radiator, Lightened Steel Flywheel, Rb Race Clutch, New waterpump w/ sensor, factory cap, and thermo. I found a coolent leak behind my water pump housing. Tried to fix it, but cracked my housing instead. So I ordered whole new pump with everything on it and the sensor behind it. It made a big difference in how smooth the engine is. My car used to ilde "okay". But now it idles as smooth as any new car. I figure is the temp sensor for the ecu that makes my car run nice and smooth. It runs cool all the time, much better than how it used to even when I bought it. I just had to share my triumph over machine. It doesn't happen often for me. Also, mating the trans to the block without a transmission jack is a work out w/cuts and bruises.

My car idles nicely, but the idle is at 1k rpm. I tried to bring it lower to 750, but i couldn't. Any other way to do this? There is also a sputter or something like that between 1200-1800 rpm. Otherwise the engine runs nicely.

 

Awesome job man...im the same way, things like this dont usually work out too well for me, so i understand how happy you gotta feel when it all turns out okay . And with the tranny...I used a paint can when i had my 240SX XD

 

kool bro I know what you mean about the transmission. That was a bitch! I had help with my install though. 2 people are better than one for that sort of thing.

Yea my temp. sensor for my ECU was broken, and for the longest time I couldn't understand why I had to fight with my car for a few minutes everyday to get it to start in sub zero temperatures. I replaced it, and VOILA! we have beautiful, easy start up, and nice normal idle
