My car runs awesome.

Just because there's never enough of these posts on the forums, I decided to declare that my car is running awesome. I just got back from an autocross, with two people driving it for 1 heat (so 10 runs, one heat), and it ran flawlessly. It pulls strong all the way up to around 7500/8000, and hits 120mph with no problem.

Next two things in short order is some new high-pro tires, and a miata short shifter.

That's it. Really, there's nothing else, other than I'm really happy with how my car is running

Ran strong for all six runs plus the 2 hours round trip to get there and back. Now I need to bite the bullet and get a better exhuast and better tires... Depending on the rebuild, 2000 could be broken in..

Man, I feel your pain. I autocrossed a few weeks ago on the same tires, and... they just get hot & greasy & make me point backwards on the same corner that was fine a lap ago.

I would also like to throw in a "My '7 is running wonderfully", though it (as always) needs a few things.

It has 17k miles or so on a rebuild (that I put in last summer - not that I put a lot of miles on my car or anything), it runs great, the A/C is cold, it keeps itsself cool, and is generally happy.

It does need new throttle body coolant lines, since they're bypassed due to one leaking and me needing to get it back on the road ASAP, but that's not a big deal.

And, someone backed into me while I was parked, so I have money for new suspension bits and pieces! *dances*

I just got back from a little "fun run", and I have to join in. I love this thing, it's actually the first time I've been able to really get on it. I finally feel like I actually own a 7 now, not just some car sitting in my garage, that I am trying to get in tip top running condition. Of course I am still leaking some coolant, stupid plastic thermostat pipe!

In any case, she put a smile on my face tonight, so Im happy.
