My car is hating this cold weather

Taking a couple extra cranks to fire up and all this creeking when I go over bumps and stuff now. Makes me all paranoid.

It will be alright. I used to live in Blacksburg and Roanoke and my FC might groan and complain but it would always start up and get from point A to B. What I always did was made sure I had a thinner weight of oil in the car and I flushed all the fluids and replaced with new before it started getting real cool.

Time to replace or clean those spark plugs & old plug wires. Might need some electrical greese on the sparkplug tips as well. Time to check/clean the battery terminal connections, mabey replace worn battery terminal connectors, clean/replace main engine & exhaust grounds. Your injectors might need rebuilding/blueprinting as well.

Have autozone check the cold cranking amps of your battery to see their within spec.

New shocks, greese the strut top bearings, replace old end link & subframe end link bushings.

Im planning on doing a whole new set of suspension bushings over Thanksgiving. I will take a look at my plugs this weekend.

I also put in an Optima red top battery a little over a week ago

Damn, you've mentioned pretty much everything I was looking into doing. I will hopefully be getting some new terminals on this weekend. Im also doing new motor mounts, so while I am under there Im gonna pull the plugs and see what they look like. What does the electrical grease do?

Yeah I never used that before either, but one of my "old school mechanic" friends says it cuts down on corrosion betwen the plug & wires, keeps condensation out, and improves electrical current transfer.
