I pulled my clutch out....... it's a 3 puck. Not name on it at all........ pressure plate is gray....

Anyone know who makes theses?

Is it a stock type?

 

I know that exedy makes a 3 puck and the pressure gray too. i know thats not stock man for sure that its not stock oem mazda. unless its a mazda speed

 

This is what it looks like, there's no fancy writing on it or anything.

The previous owner said the car had a aftermarket clutch in, but I didn't beleive him so I bought a ACT clutch. Well, this is what I pulled out.

probably mazdaspeed. definitely not stock lol

 

its prob an older high performace clutch that they dont make anymore. did the other owner tell you when it was replaced?

EDIT: That thing had a Mspeed diff in it too yes? Wouldn't surprise me they've got a clutch by them too. But I believe only exedy and Mazdaspeed had 3 pucks for the FC....but I could be wrong (its happened only once! )

 

It's got under 1,000 miles on it. He had just changed it before selling the car to me. I had just thought he put in a stock clutch.

Anyone know how much these mazdaspeed clutches sell for? I need to dump it since I put the ACT 6puck in........

 

Yeah, my car has a mazdaspeed rearend too..... it acts like a damn locker. I need to sell that as well

 

how much for each? might take the clutch if its for an n/a

 

It's a turbo clutch and FB diff IIRC.

 

What's the advantage/disadvantage of the 3 puck vs the 6 puck?
