My car chokes

Whenever I rev to about 1000rpm exactly and stay there....it sounds like my car is choking, and sounds like its about to stall out and die......whats up with this????

Is it a bouncy idle? Search for TPS adjustment.

it doesn't really bounce, i mean its not steady...but it only does it when I hold it at 1000rpm.

Classic symptom of a bad or misadjusted TPS. I recently replaced mine, and fixed some roughness that had suddenly started happening.

Pin A should show 1 volt when the car is fully warm and the key is on (it doesn't have to be running).
