My car is back together and running awesome!!!

Hey guys.

So i just finished doing a 60k tune up (and then some.. redo grounds, all hoses, filters fluids, painted intake system/TB, TB mod, dual alt pulley, engine mounts, tranny mounts etc etc) on top of porting the wastegate on top of deleting all emissions. After everything was hooked up and bolted down i filled the radiator fluid and oil, hooked up the battery and the car fired up within the first 3 cranks!!!! This is after sitting for close to 4 weeks. I am really amazed with these rotary engines, some people say rotaries are unreliable and junk. I say do a full 60k tune up and give your engine some TLC.

Anyways, getting back on topic i have managed to set the idle on my car to ~750rpm without the BAC/EGR and the TB mod. And i only have to let the car warm up for a 3-4 seconds so it hold its idle when cold. Its a very solid idle too when cold it doesnt try and die when i let the rpms drop with the clutch in. After 30 minutes of hard driving last night in 25 degrees celcius weather (80 degrees fahrenheit)
my oil temp/water were at 78-80 degrees celcius (~190 fahrenheit). Also porting the wastegate has removed ALL boost creep, full boost is now .63 bars (~8.5psi) and that is with a full 80mm (3") dual turbo back and an HKS 75mm intake. To say the least i am VERY impressed with the car. Now all that is left to do is adjust the timing and a few other suspension mods..

ROTARY POWER!!

Before..

Mid way..

Painted parts

75% Done

Ill get a final shot when i got off work..

Thanks to you guys for helping me along the way!

Cheers,

Ben

You were doing full boost runs without getting the ignition timing in spec first?!?!?!
Man, you're crazy!

Well the reason why i say the ignition timing is off is because the exhaust gases smell partly unburnt at idle. Maybe thats normal, but i still want to adjust the timing just to make sure its fine. The car runs exellent in this configuration regardless, but i know what pre-det can do to a rotary so thats the next thing to adress.

BTW RETed, just reading your tag there, says your part of FC3S pro... Thanks so much for the AWESOME information on that site, really helped me out a lot!.

Regards,

Ben
