My car acted kinda wierd today

I tried searching, but I'm not sure what I was looking for. This morning I was taking her up to 80 (yes the car was warmed up) and at about 6000 RPMs the car started jerking. It felt like it was being pulled back. It was the first time its ever happend. It can't be good. Do any of you know what might cause this?

Thanks

sounds like the early stages of a failing fuel pump. same thing happened to me a few months ago. i would definitely look at the fuel pump first.

If it is stock and you are not planning to mod it I would say get a stock Mazda fuel pump. I wouldnt try the dealer because of the insane prices.

mazdatrix has it, but its like $350! I can get a walbro for 90, but I'm not sure if it will flow more fuel than I need and cause problems.
