My boost is stuck at 6psi!!!! :(

I put my dp(2.75) and CB on(Greddy Trust dual) on and my boost levels did not change. no boost spike, no 10-12psi max, nothing. except now I hit 7 or 8 in 4th. pretty pathetic. I have a HKs PFC F-con for a fuel controller.

Im not a idiot but i feel like im missing something. like something in the stock system is limiting the boost at 6psi.ie. boost sensor, etc...
relevant mods:mildstreetport, s4 rebuilt turbo. stock wastegate(awaiting BNR st2), custom TB mod.

similar experience? input? discuss...

i have a FD that had the same problem getting stuck at 6psi after i upgraded to a 3" ezhaust....but sequential turbos and different i suppose. i got fed up and changed my wastegate actuator, map sensor, boost controller, got a power FC, and got a new wire harness. fixed my problem, but i would check your intake to see if you have a leak in vaccum somewhere thats a simple fix.

Holy crap, stock unported wastegate? Either way its good that you're only creeping a couple pounds...I don't see the problem though, why don't you get a boost controller? They're $10 on ebay or you can build a home depot one (I use one with no problems) if you don't want to wait.

You might want to look into bypassing the WG actuator and running an MBC...I don't know what the actuator does exactly though. 6psi is definitely just running off the spring though...

Get a boost controller is all I can say. If it's running off the stock spring, that's about all you're going to get. I would have thought you'd be getting some boost creep with all that stuff, but maybe your wastegate can handle it. Stock TID and filter?

THe boost creep happens when you have full exhaust. NO cats. And a good intake.

boost controller wont do anything...You have a leak somewhere.....there is no way you are at only 6lbs on a stock ported wgate with the greddy exhaust and bigger downpipe. CAT clogged?

I have full exhaust, no cats, and k'n intake. It boost 6 lbs in 1st and second.6.5-7 in third and about 7-8 in 4th .5th i dont care about(but its about 7-8lbs also)

I dont think its boost leak. I have checked all my pipes and vaccuum lines. I dont see why you would say a boost controller wont work Dawicka2 .If the wastegate was ported(which I have no idea about) it would make perfect sense. I also have a mildstreetport which will keep boost down a lil cause it eats more air than stock ports. Bypassing the actuator spring and going solely with a mbc should work till i get a quality ebc. NO?!?

I have a FCD. fuel cut feels nothing the same. Fuel cut feels like the engine just quits for a second. that is not my issue. I also have a HKS PFC F-con,. and as stated before 2.75 dp, midpipe, catback, k'n cold air intake. tb mod and some other small mods. The question was is there something that limits the stock boost levels besides the wastegate actuator. for instance a stock boost controller, or something.

I know about boost creep. but I expected that it would still be more than 2-3 lbs. I guess thats good, but i thought I might as well run it by everyone

I've decide to just plug the vaccuum line to the wastegate actuator and run my boost control with a mbc should be arriving by fri. Ill post with my success/horror story later
