My Boost Guage Doesn"t Work! Need Help
Ok i asked this before i think but i have shitty idle, and the hot start condition (won't start when hot). I think that is just low compression, but could my boost sensor be shot if i don't get anything on the gauge? If so how much does that sensor go for, and HOW CAN I TEST IT TO MAKE SURE???
PLEASE HELP!!

It could be a stuffed gauge (doesn’t matter, it’s crap anyway), but it could also be a stuffed pressure sensor, which is very bad! Driving your car hard on a bad pressure sensor could kill it, so go easy until you sort this out.
There is a test in the FSM for the pressure sensor. You should also get a decent aftermarket gauge so you can see what boost you are actually running.

Get a digital meter and pick off pin 2B on the center plug of the ECU and check for an output from the pressure sensor. If thats good go to CO-3 and pick the reading off the BL wire. Should be the same as the output on 2B. The factory gauge may not be anygood but its 100 percent better than the autometer one I made the mistake of buying. Its acceptable to have no output at the CO-3 but critical to have an output at pin 2B. Kablooie if you have none. jpg attached

Boosting two: Stuffed translates into *shot its wad*, *kaput*, *gone South*, ***** up* and a lot other courser words that I know, but know enough not to use. Too easy.

Hell, same -almost- thing happened to me when I had my custom FCD on. A wire came loose, and the boost gauge didnt show anything. That also meant that the ECU didnt see ANY boost signal either, which is a bad thing. Took it really easy, parked the car, disconnected the FCD, and drove normally after that...

Turbogxl.......how far out of spec? I know you did not make this mistake, but the N/A boost sensor and the TurboII pressure sensor have different values. Is it possible you were looking at the wrong spec?? Just a thought.
