My baby is BLEEDING!

Parked the car on a slight incline today and walked into a store. When I came out there was a small river of green coming from under the car.

Looks like I've got a coolant leak. At least it's not a blown seal, right?

Any chance the drain at the bottom of the rad could be leaking? It looks like the drip is coming off forward of the engine and more under the rad.

I don't have a real good place to work on the car at the moment so I'm hoping this doesn't turn into a huge process.

Did you add any coolant lately, today I was afraid my car was going to over heat so I filled that mother full of coolant, she was spitting more then my ex girlfriend when I turned it over, that overflow line made sure all the neighbors pets would be dead by morning...

you mean you filled it just for fun? not paying attention to the current levels already in the overflow? no wonder it pissed it out..

Doubt it.

Is your plastic rad undershield thingy in place? If you want to inspect things from below you'll want to yank it out first...

A few possible explanations come to mind...

- leaking rad (buy a new one - make sure it's aluminum cuz the copper ones suck.)

- leaking rad hose(s.) These can develop very tiny holes (happened to me last year) that leak only under relatively high pressure, meaning at idle nothing comes out and then when you give her some throttle it spews... This leak could be collecting on the undershield thingy and then dripping out when the car is on an incline.

- leaking hose/nipple connection(s.) Do you have screw clamps on your hoses or those crappy one-piece metal stock ones?

Watch the level very closely. Check it each time before you start the car (if the car is cold.) If you're having to add a lot of fluid each time to bring the level back up then you want to find and fix the leak as quickly as possible.

I don't have a real good place to work on the car at the moment so I'm hoping this doesn't turn into a huge process.
Find one soon. If you're slow, careful and attentive you should be able to locate the source of the leak in a relatively short period of time (meaning not all damn day.)

my guess is its the hose located right behing the oil filter that goes through the firewall. these are notorious for leaking on t2's
