My 90 n/a engine is being built!!

Today i whent to Pineapple Racing and got to tear down a core that will be my ported 13B. The motor had very low miles on it, so the rotor housings are in awesome condition as with everything else. But, i decided to put new apex seals, side seals, corner seals, oil control rings, o rings and bearings in it anyways. I guess that the motor is going to have the 93 and up corner seal springs. I was told that they make a couple more hp vs the older ones. It will be ported to the point that it will still have the stock idle and pass emissions. I'm going to also put T2 secondary inj. in it, along with a 89+ mass air flow meter. The throttle body is going to be bored over, and the upper, mid, and lower intake is going to be extruded honed. With all these mods, Rob said the motor should put out around 200flywheel hp. To say the least it should be fun.....but i can't wait. Kinda funny...i'm looking more forward to driving this motor than i was when i had my peripheral built.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!

CJ

Have fun... just something about the N/A's. I love them. But then again, theres something about the Turbo's.

How does the motor hold up with a 150 shot?

Especially one with a fat bridgeport, hardened stationary gears and such wailing at 11K rpm

Actually it holds up pretty well. The motor has about 17k miles on it now, and about 3 bottle through it. To be honest, it pull pretty good even without the nitrous. CJ

I can't realy say, as i'm realy good friends with Rob and he gives me parts at his cost, and charges me about 1/2 the normal rate of labor. Take a guess...

Cj

Also i will have a new clutch and pressure plate.

Cost, it depends on how you do it and if you do it right. I think I spent around $4,000 for everything I have.

The pp is fun to drive. The last and only time i've ever had it to the track it ran a (Dont laugh) 13.9@109.27 off of the nos. The nitrous fuel pump decided to die on me. So anytime i hit the nitrous, it would start pinging. My FD ran a 13.1@108, and the pp is quite a bit faster once you get it above 7k. CJ
