Talking My 1000th Post

Well Ive finally hit my 1000th post. I only purchased my RX7 about 7 months ago and Ive gotten much further then I ever thought. I didnt really even have the intention of keeping this car for too long but the more I drove it, the more I enjoyed it.

Owning a 240SX previously as my first car, I was totally new to RX-7's and the RE. I still am pretty green but have picked up a lot of great information and facts thanks to the forum and some of the informative threads/member posts.

From having a stock 87 base ive done a fair amount of work with the car imo. I started losing to my friends 240 With that loss still fresh in my mind, I began taking the intake manifold off to perform all the freebie mods I could to get the motor into shape (TB mod, 6 port removal, rerouting coolant hose, emissions removal, etc etc) 5 months later (and the engine in top shape) with the addition of some other mods, I was able to take down my first T2, something I had considered to be a long term, which, incidentally didnt take as long as I thought.

Now with the 5 lug conversion beginning tomorrow (i'll post pics, also included are SS brake lines and DTSS elim. bushings ) I begin another stage of build up with the FC. Id like to say thanks to all the informative forum members and forum guru's for their insight and help building up the car. Also thanks to those who helped me personally when I really needed it: AgentD, RarestRX, M5150, DCMina (KoukiFC), JSpecRacer. Silkworm, Von, RE Ted, AaronCake etc. Thanks to all you guys.

Hopefully I'll have learned and done just as much to the FC during the next 1000 posts. Thanks for reading

Thanks Yup im going to class in 40 mins but I'll be starting this afternoon, im sure the conversions going to be lots of fun Ive already prepared everything (lots of work) including going with all new bearings, pads, *the earlier mentioned brake lines and dtss bushings* repacking them, and reassembling everything on the hub. Also, I'll be installing GTUs strut/strut assembly all around, from RarestRX who I cant thank enough for all his help. Dont worry, lots of pics on the way

Yo,

Heh, wait until you see the pics. Nismo got fucked by another Kevin back East with some rusty *** ****, so I hooked him up with my old struts fo' free. Gotta keep the Kevin Karma Scale in balance.
