Mufflers Not at same level?
I jus put on my fujitsubo cat back, however the mufflers do not sit at the same height. The drivers side muffler is about 1.25 inches lower than the passenger side one. Before the catback install, the stock muffler on the drivers side was higher. I would move it to the muffler to make it even, but when the y-pipe attached it puts it in the position it is right now. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Should I just try to live with it or get something done? BTW its pretty quiet lol

I just bent the hangers slightly to compensate for the worn out donuts.
I know it isn't the "right" way to fix it, but it works. Then again, I only had to compensate for about 1", if that.

When my doughnuts went to crap I ended up replacing them with some beefy zip ties. It was only going to be a temporary thing, but they ended up working very well and I actually still have them on. The best thing about using them was it made evening out the mufflers very easy. I hope no one haggles me for this rig job...I do check them very often just in case.

Mazdatrix: $7.62 a doughnut x 4 doughnuts + shipping = $35-37 dollars. Little stuff adds up. Considering I’m a college student and I already have 600 dollars and counting wrapped up in my rebuild project, I need to be a little frugal. Different strokes for different folks.

mazdatrix is kinda pricy, a hell lot cheaper then the dealerships, but for basic stuff like spark plugs and stuff your better off with pepboys, or advance auto parts

ic ic, I have all the doughnuts for the mufflers (including the little rubber hanger on the side of muffler closer to engine). Its like the Y-pipe is holding the muffler there, I cant even push it up if I wanted to, but I'll look tomorrow and see if the doughnuts look worn/over stretched. Hopefully I can get a pic for u guys to give a better idea of my situation.
BlackRx7 : YeahI was going to go single lol (cheaper too haha) but I wanted to "attempt" to keep a stock-like look and this system had 1 resonator into 1 resonator for each branch of y pipe then muffler (looking for quiet keke)

Muffler level different
I bought the TII exaust by Racing Beat from the downpipe back and I have had the same problem. My driver's side can hung about and inch and a half lower than the passenger side. I put all new rubber doughnuts on and I still had same problem but maybe 5mm better. I took it to my local rotarty shop and had him see what he could do. After researching he found that this was a common occurance and he would try to fix it. Even after spending two days on it it is still about and inch lower on that side still. Basically some RXs have that problem and some dont it just depends on how much money you want to spend on fixing it. I've put about $250 into the problem and it hasn't been worth it so I know how it feels.

WTF!
OK Guys something has got to be up!
I just my car back on the road a few weeks ago and I also changed everything from the engine back to the mufflers and guess what.....?
The drivers side is 1-1/2" lower then the passanger side! It wasn't this way before...
This can't be a coincidence! I even went down to a friends shop, put the thing on the hoist and couldn't see where it's gone wrong...
I want to put tips on but 1-1/2" is too much to adjust for!
I'm open to suggestions.

Maybe the piping was bent/warped or you have the y pipe upsidedown (doubt this would make a difference) and/or some of the donuts are nice and tight while others are old and sagging.

On the 2nd page is the exhaust before install (Fujitsubo). On the 3rd page is the post install and you can see the difference in muffler height =(

In my case and Z3r0's the 'y' pipe only goes in one way.
As for the donuts, on my car none are sagging, and a few are not under any tension at all!
Strange indeed....
