Hey i was just playing on ebya and found how cheap msd coils really are. DO you think theyre worth the $40. DO they show any improvement over the stock coils?

Stock FC coils are best I think, and I think some people MAY use FC coils in FD's.

In general, the size of the coil dicates it's capacity.
So, the larger the coil, the better it performs - IN GENERAL.
Of course, there are going to be some exceptions.

FD coils are smaller.

"You get what you pay for."
The MSD Blaster SS e-core coil is MSD's entry-level "cheap" coil.
They also have $100+ coils that work very well!
Which one do you think performs better?
