didn't think it was real just wanted to know really if A)there was any point and B) what would it take if it was possible i thought it sounded cool i've seen a 13b power vw and there are plenty of sandrails that are rear engine 13bs why not just make a mod out and exsiting rx by relocating the engine....

Because to put it simply- our cars are NOT made to be rear engined-

nearly EVERYTHING would have to be relocated- custom rear fram and firewall- Custom drivetrain.

Not to mention that the weight distro would be shot to hell.

Well if you just lookin for cool mods then buy a gigantic jumbo jet wing from Boeing and strap it to the rear deck.

It is possible I would think but the car would not handle the same way since the weight would all be in the rear. And what the hell would we do with a big empty engine bay? lol put some N2O bottles in there? hehe

The FC was not designed with "MR" in mind. It was designed to handle very good with a front-mid engine. Its like taking a perfectly balanced porsche and putting its rear engine in the front. It was designed to handle well with the engine back there. Shifting 4-500 pounds is not something that will only "slightly" affect the balance of the car.

ok i'm not dumb i undrstand wheight ratio's but it is possible to shift wheight and keep things almost the same. you just hove to think it through i understand all that so you don't have to preach about how it's perfect the way it is cause i know it's a good car! but i've seen people do some outrages things with cars for loads of diffrent reasons al i wanted to know was what you thought about it not how crazy it was

tell me what 500 pounds worth of stuff your going to shift forward? I'd like to know. The only thing I can think of is the gas tank and i'm sure that is not 500 pounds.

hahaha I just don't see it being worth the time, money, or handling loss. The car's balance isn't broken so don't try and fix it by ******* it up.

Your contradicting yourself bro. If you don't want all the comments don't ask for any at all. Thats the way we work in society we have positive and negative views for everything. I still can't see how you could get the balance back at all. Thats one of the most importand parts of buying a car that handles. Again you'd just be ******* up a perfectly great handling car. Unless you can show me around 500 pounds of stuff in the rear that can be moved to the front to equalize the inbalance with the engine/trans/axle in the back. Can it be done ofcoarse. I can also paint my car hot pink and dress in drag but do I do that.....no! You probably just saw someone talking about MR and got all into it and wished you could pipe dream about it. hehe

I don't see a point to doing it becides the "nobody else has it" factor. with a nearly perfect weight distribution ratio (49/51 IIR) the RX is an excelent handling car. Heck my fathers 88' Supercharged MR2 got it's doors blown off by a G2 Turboed RX. Basiclly what happened is they were racing each other through a interchange and the RX was holding it's grip as well as the MR2 but then when it came to the end the RX just walked away from the MR. THe MR also has a nearly perfect weight ratio along with a on-demand factory supercharger which rates the engine at 145 HP.
